Privacy policy

What FLECK does with personal data when tailoring and cloth shops use FLECK, and what it never does.

Shops decide, we act for them

FLECK is software that shops use to run their counters, their workshops and their branches. Each shop that uses FLECK decides what it records, what it sends and to whom. FLECK processes that data on the shop’s behalf and at its direction.

When a shop connects its WhatsApp Business number, messages are sent from the shop’s own WhatsApp Business account using Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. They come from the shop, under the shop’s name.

What a shop records about its customers

A customer’s name and mobile number, their measurements, their orders and garments, the payments the shop has received from them, and which branch they ordered at. The shop’s staff enter all of this at the counter; we do not collect it from anywhere else.

A copy is kept on the shop’s own counter computers so that the counter keeps working when the internet does not.

What we hold about a shop’s staff

Each staff member’s name, username, role and branch, and a one-way hash of their password — never the password itself. For karigars, the work given to them and what they are paid for it, where the shop records that in FLECK.

Order tracking

The code on a receipt opens that one order. A customer who wants to see all their orders signs in with their mobile number and a one-time code, which expires within minutes. We keep a record that the code was sent and whether it was used, so that codes cannot be guessed or requested without limit.

WhatsApp messages

When a shop has connected its WhatsApp Business number, we process: the customer’s name and mobile number as the shop recorded them; the order number and branch; one-time sign-in codes; delivery information from Meta (sent, delivered, read or failed); and messages that customers send to the shop’s connected number, which Meta passes on to us.

We use messages from customers only to notice a request to stop and to show the shop whether its messages arrived. We do not read, store or use the content of a customer’s chats with the shop for anything else, and we do not import chat history.

What the data is for

Running the shop’s counter and workshop, order confirmations, ready-for-collection notices, and sign-in codes for order tracking.

Never advertising. Never shared with another shop. Never sold. Never used to train artificial intelligence.

How long we keep it

Records of messages sent: 90 days. Messages that failed or were not sent: 30 days.

Delivery updates received from Meta: 14 days.

A customer’s request to stop WhatsApp messages: until the customer asks to receive them again.

A shop’s own records — customers, orders, payments, staff — for as long as the shop uses FLECK. When a shop leaves and asks us to, we delete its data, including its WhatsApp data, within 30 days.

Your choices

To stop WhatsApp messages from a shop, reply STOP to any of them, or ask the shop at the counter.

To see or correct what a shop has recorded about you, ask the shop — it holds your record and can change it. To have your data deleted, follow the steps on our data deletion page, or email [email protected].

This website and our apps

This website runs no analytics and sets no advertising cookies. The dashboard and the order tracking page set a cookie that keeps you signed in, and nothing else is tracked.
